This position is a crucial part of our Financial Planning Systems function within the broader Finance organization. As a Senior Analyst, you'll bring a unique blend of financial acumen and technical expertise to support and develop our enterprise planning applications. What You'll Do
As a Senior Analyst in Financial Planning Systems, you'll be responsible for supporting and enhancing our financial planning infrastructure. Your daily activities will include:
- Application Support: Maintain and support the Hyperion planning application for forecast and actual financials, ensuring reliable and accurate data delivery to stakeholders across the organization.
- Data Validation: Validate financial data from Hyperion Financial Management and regulatory systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions.
- System Administration: Perform system maintenance tasks including user permission management, access controls, and configuration updates to ensure optimal system performance.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding system issues, existing reports, forms, and models, delivering timely and effective solutions.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing in-depth scenario analyses and root cause investigations on complex financial issues, as well as competitive industry analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Coordination: Coordinate and complete monthly headcount processes related to Hyperion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in workforce planning data.
- System Updates: Update Hyperion Planning with organizational changes, coordinating hierarchy changes with regulatory bodies and general ledger teams.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with working groups to determine reporting business requirements, proposing and presenting efficient, innovative solutions.
- Development: Create Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, and forecasting and planning models for Finance departments, tailoring solutions to meet specific business needs.
What You'll Need for Success
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements, financial modeling, and analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong IT foundation including experience with Oracle and multidimensional and relational database structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Hyperion, as well as development and deployment experience (including Intelligent Reporting, Essbase, and Planning)
- Advanced knowledge of financial planning and budgeting systems
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes
- Background in airline or transportation industry finance is a plus
