Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your communication skills can make a real difference in people's lives? If so, arenaflex invites you to apply for an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Remote Customer Service Professional supporting the Office of Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (OSGLI) program.

At arenaflex, we have a long-standing commitment to serving those who serve our country. Since 1965, we have been proud to support military service members, veterans, and their families through the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) program. This vital program provides life insurance products to active-duty service members, veterans, and their loved ones, offering peace of mind and financial security to those who have sacrificed so much for our nation.

As a Customer Service Professional in the OSGLI Customer Service Center, you will be at the forefront of our mission, handling all correspondence and phone communications with service members, veterans, and their families. Your role is critical in ensuring that every customer receives accurate information about their benefits, has their questions answered, and feels valued and supported throughout their experience with arenaflex.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries seeking information about their insurance coverage. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive information to policyholders, family members, and beneficiaries about SGLI coverage, benefits, and related services

  • Receiving and evaluating customer inquiries that may range from routine questions to more complex issues requiring problem-solving skills and deviation from standard procedures

  • Utilizing our advanced computerized systems for tracking customer interactions, gathering information, providing referrals, processing routine transactions, and troubleshooting issues

  • Answering product, account, policy, and service inquiries with professionalism and accuracy, resolving problems efficiently while promoting appropriate products and services

  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting or promoting alternative products or services that may benefit the customer

  • Handling most calls and transactions independently while knowing when to appropriately escalate complex issues to supervisors

  • Demonstrating arenaflex's Leadership Competencies in every interaction, embodying our values of integrity, excellence, and customer focus

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering outstanding service and who understands the unique needs of our military community. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience with well-developed transaction processing skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and empathize with customers' perspectives

  • A genuine passion for delivering top-quality service to every customer, every time

  • Proven reliability with excellent punctuality and attendance – this is critical in a fast-moving, inbound service center environment

  • Ability to learn and retain technical information quickly and accurately in a relatively short period of time

  • Receptivity to detailed performance feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Proficiency with keyboard operations and window-based applications, including internet navigation

  • Strong self-motivation skills and the ability to work independently

  • Excellent active listening skills to understand customer needs fully

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills for verbal and written customer interactions

  • Ability to excel in a team environment while also working well independently

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent business experience

  • Military experience – we value the unique skills and perspectives that veterans bring to our team
