[Remote] Secondary Mathematics Curriculum Developer

The Secondary Mathematics Curriculum Developer will create engaging and academically rigorous educational content for middle and high school students, collaborating with subject-matter experts and production teams to ensure high-quality learning materials.

    Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mathematics educational content (video scripts, assessments, and written materials) for middle and high school students
  • Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible for students
  • Write clear and measurable lesson objectives, and align teaching materials to meet objectives
  • Use technology, such as Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, Figma, and screencasting software
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
  • Continuously evaluate and refine content based on feedback and educational outcomes
  • Collaborate on special projects and assignments
    Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time mathematics teaching experience at the 9-12th grade level
  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a Math-related field or Education
  • Familiarity with writing lesson objectives and creating objective-aligned lesson materials
  • Experience designing well-structured and effective lessons
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to make learning accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate
  • Strong understanding of what makes a lesson engaging
  • Experience using technology to support instruction, including Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially written
  • Growth mindset and motivated by constructive feedback
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage schedules, and meet deadlines
  • High motivation, a proactive attitude, and a tendency to seek opportunities for continuous improvement
  • High standards of integrity and transparency
  • Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection
  • You have an active teaching certification and/or you have completed professional development or training in curriculum design and pedagogy
  • You have hands-on experience designing and writing curriculum, including writing scripts for completely asynchronous video lessons
  • You have experience teaching and designing lessons for applied math courses such as consumer math, accounting, or SAT/ACT prep
  • You have experience analyzing and transforming data into actionable goals that have positively impacted your students
  • You have experience with screencasting software or online instruction
