This is a unique opportunity to become part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at the arenaflex Credit Union. In this role, you'll be responsible for everyday functions related to checking processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. What You'll Do

As a Member Services Representative on our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations for our valued members. Your responsibilities will include:

• Complete data entry and balancing functions with precision and attention to detail


• Coordinate return items with members, outside vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions


• Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting general ledger balancing


• Work member cases and activities assigned to your queue with dedication and efficiency


• Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws


• Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks


• Review, analyze, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products


• Log, analyze, and make important GL, account changes and/or returns


• Process Stop Pays and Check Batching with accuracy


• Complete everyday balancing and department closing responsibilities


• Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests


• Research and verify incoming and outgoing fund transfer data


• Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers


• Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws


• Deposit check returns, report member return items on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and handle Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers


• Complete everyday processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all accounts and associated information that are part of their work, and for ensuring that their work is in compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

What You Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED


• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal


• Basic mathematical skills and ability to analyze numerical data


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


• Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-hire compliance exams

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer or member service experience in a professional setting


• Previous banking or Credit Union experience


• Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and wire processing


• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
