Position Overview
This role supports business development through direct outreach to medical offices and coordination of events that build referral relationships. The position combines medical assistant experience with event planning responsibilities, focused on connecting with the right contacts, maintaining communication, and organizing opportunities that increase visibility and referrals. This is a part-time 1099 contractor role with flexible scheduling.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
Flexible hours based on workload and availability
- Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to physician offices, clinics, and healthcare facilities to introduce services and follow up on referrals
- Identify and connect with key contacts such as office managers, referral coordinators, nurses, and providers
- Maintain accurate call notes, contact details, and follow-up actions
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule lunches, in-services, community events, and outreach opportunities
- Manage event logistics including scheduling, materials, setup, and follow-through
- Represent the company professionally during outreach and events when needed
- Support business development representatives with territory outreach and relationship building
- Track outreach activity and provide regular updates on results and opportunities
- Assist with building and maintaining targeted contact lists
- Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience required
- Strong understanding of medical office workflows, roles, and decision-making structure
- Experience communicating with providers, front office staff, and clinical teams
- Comfortable making outbound calls and building rapport with medical offices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and follow-ups
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems, referral processes, or healthcare coordination preferred
