Remote Client Account Specialist – Distressed Small Business Clients (Contract)
Posted 2026-05-05About Us
We are a small financial services company that helps small businesses resolve unsustainable debt burdens, particularly merchant cash advance (MCA) obligations. Our work combines legal protection, negotiated settlements, liquidity support, and financial restructuring to stabilize businesses and improve long-term viability.
- This role may be a fit if you have:
- 2+ years in financial services, loan servicing, collections, loan servicing, merchant services, legal intake / case management
- experience managing clients in financially stressful or time-sensitive situations
- strong written communication and rigorous follow-through
- comfort working independently in a remote, fast-moving environment
We are hiring a Client Account Specialist to monitor the operational and financial status of client businesses and help manage the day-to-day flow of communication, case updates, and account coordination. This role is central to maintaining smooth communication between our clients, internal teams, and legal partners. It is a client-facing, detail-intensive role for someone who is highly organized, responsive, calm under pressure, and comfortable working at the intersection of financial, legal, and operational issues. We work in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment. The people who do best here are calm under pressure, detail-oriented, commercially practical, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership without heavy supervision.
This is a fully remote contractor role. The ideal candidate is self-directed, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a fast-moving virtual team.
This is not a general customer service role. We are looking for someone who has already worked in financial-services, lending, collections, legal-support, or similarly demanding account environments where clients may be stressed, time-sensitive, and operationally complex.
