  • Prescription Data Entry: Utilize arenaflex's prescription data entry procedures to process new patient enrollments and enter prescription information into the appropriate systems with precision and attention to detail.
  • Medication Request Handling: Process patient medication requests within strict HIPAA guidelines, including entering refill orders for timely processing by our pharmacy teams.
  • Prescription Investigation: Research and obtain missing prescription information, decode clinical abbreviations (SIG codes), and resolve all data entry-related exceptions to ensure seamless prescription processing.
  • Patient Communication: Handle incoming communications from patients via phone, email, and other channels, providing excellent customer service and resolving inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Outbound Calling: Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to gather information, follow up on prescriptions, and ensure timely processing of medication requests.
  • Third-Party Issue Resolution: Resolve third-party insurance issues by assessing situations, collecting necessary information, processing prescriptions, and resubmitting claims according to specific plan requirements.
  • Insurance Coordination: Contact insurance providers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approvals, or otherwise resolve third-party issues that may prevent prescription processing.
  • Pharmacy Support: Provide assistance to pharmacists both in our offices and at other locations, serving as a valuable resource for prescription processing and customer service support.
  • Escalation Management: Identify issues that require attention from senior-level staff and communicate them appropriately to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement of our processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, adapting to changes as needed based on assigned department requirements.
  • Licensure Requirements: Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain active licensure throughout your tenure with arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) equivalent is required.

  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with personal computers, including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse functions, open and close programs, switch between applications, save documents, print documents, and access information online.

  • Internet Skills: Basic web browser proficiency, including opening browsers, correctly entering URLs, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms.
