Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and innovative Principal Scientist with a specialization in Molecular Biology to join their groundbreaking scientific research and development team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge discoveries from your own laboratory or home office. You will lead critical research projects, design and execute complex experiments, and contribute significantly to the advancement of novel therapeutic targets and diagnostic tools. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished track record in molecular biology research, a passion for scientific inquiry, and the ability to mentor junior researchers.

Key responsibilities include: Leading independent research initiatives in molecular biology, focusing on areas such as gene expression, protein interactions, and cellular signaling pathways. Designing, optimizing, and validating complex experimental protocols, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), PCR, Western blotting, and CRISPR-based gene editing. Analyzing and interpreting large datasets using advanced bioinformatics tools and statistical methods. Troubleshooting experimental challenges and developing innovative solutions. Mentoring and guiding a team of research associates and scientists, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment. Writing and submitting research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at scientific conferences. Contributing to grant writing and seeking external funding opportunities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics, chemistry, and clinical development, to advance research programs. Ensuring compliance with all laboratory safety regulations and ethical guidelines. Staying current with the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in molecular biology and related fields. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline. A minimum of 8-10 years of post-doctoral research experience in an academic or industry setting. Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of molecular biology techniques. Proven ability to design and lead complex research projects from conception to completion. Strong publication record in high-impact scientific journals. Experience with bioinformatics analysis and interpretation of genomic or transcriptomic data. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a remote, collaborative team. Experience with grant writing and securing funding is highly desirable.
