As our intern, you'll work closely with our Manager of Publishing Finance & Operations and be right in the middle of the action, helping key players in our Sales, Metadata Management, and Operations departments.

What You Will Do

As a Planning & Operations Analytics Intern at arenaflex, you'll be entrusted with meaningful responsibilities that contribute directly to our publishing success. Your responsibilities and projects will include:


  • Craft and Deliver Impactful Industry Trend Reports: You'll gather and present regular enterprise-style reports to our senior management, providing them with the data-driven insights they need to make informed, strategic decisions that shape the future of our publishing initiatives.

  • Power the arenaflex Print Run Process: Support critical elements of our weekly print run process, ensuring that the right number of books hits the shelves at the right time. You'll be an essential part of getting millions of comics into the hands of eager fans around the world.

  • Mastering COGS Summaries: You'll be responsible for preparing comprehensive COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) summaries, comparing forecasts with actuals and highlighting emerging trends to guide crucial data-driven decisions across the organization.

  • Inventory Optimization Expert: Collaborate with our Planning organization to analyze sales and inventory movement data, enabling us to optimize warehouse inventory and prevent stock shortages that could disappoint our loyal读者社区.

  • Title and Contributor Metadata Optimization: Lead metadata optimization responsibilities, which include title and contributor (artist/writer) enhancements, to supercharge sales for our valued retail partners and improve discoverability across all platforms.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to support overall business objectives and gain exposure to multiple facets of the publishing industry.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize your analytical skills to dig deep into complex datasets, identifying patterns and opportunities that drive operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comic Enthusiast: A genuine interest in and knowledge of the world of Comic Books/Intellectual Property is a significant bonus. Your passion for the industry can enhance your capability to contribute effectively and make meaningful connections with our content.

  • Academic Background: Coursework or experience in finance, economics, business analytics, supply chain management, or related fields.

  • Previous Internship Experience: Any prior internship or relevant work experience in analytics, operations, or publishing is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization and business intelligence tools.

Education Requirements

Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year (or currently graduated within the past six months) pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Requirements


  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) preceding participation in the internship application OR must have graduated from a university/college within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a college program or professional internship.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must not have completed 365 days of continuous employment on a arenaflex internship or application.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends as needed.
