Internship Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Operations Support team as Summer 2024 interns. This is a 12-week paid internship program running from May 21 to August 9, 2024. Interns will work onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, dedicating 40 hours per week to their assignments and projects. While we offer workplace flexibility for a portion of the internship, interns are expected to be present for key team events, collaborative sessions, and intern-specific activities.

As an arenaflex Operations Support Analyst intern, you will be placed in one of two dynamic teams: Ground Operations or Sales Operations. Each team offers unique challenges and learning opportunities, with the possibility of contributing to projects across multiple areas during your tenure.

Team Placement Options

Ground Operations Team

The Ground Operations team is the backbone of our daily operational excellence. This team is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and advancing ground operations to ensure we deliver a safe, reliable, and low-cost product to our customers. As part of this team, you'll contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experiences, and drive innovation across our network.

Sales Operations Team

The Sales Operations team powers all sales enablement initiatives, focusing on people, processes, and tools. This team delivers critical technology capabilities, drives internal coordination for cross-functional initiatives, and creates diverse sales support programs. As part of this team, you'll support sales activities, help manage customer relationships, and contribute to driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Ground Operations Responsibilities


  • Conduct research and analysis of external solutions to support informed decision-making regarding baggage handling response strategies

  • Deliver analysis and recommendations that demonstrate a clear understanding of the business bottom line and the broader impact across functional areas and the organization

  • Identify requirements for initiating or supplemental project resources

  • Recognize opportunities to improve operational performance and business processes through understanding customer and process insights, verification data, key requirements, and risk management

  • Lead periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure compliance policies are followed

  • Collect, organize, visualize, and synthesize data, including transforming raw data into meaningful insights using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software

  • Lead and facilitate project meetings and presentations for management

  • Improve internal performance metrics and assist with commentary on station performance related to complaint resolution

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or team leads

Sales Operations Responsibilities


  • Support the sales team with analysis, sales tools, CRM platforms, and dashboard reporting

  • Create and distribute communications and announcements to the arenaflex Business Group and customers

  • Provide customer service to the arenaflex Business Group and customers by responding to and managing customer and sales inquiries using CRM tools

  • Assist in creating and delivering onboarding and training materials for the team

  • Participate in ad hoc sales projects, promotions, and planning initiatives

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or team leads

Qualifications

Education


  • Bachelor's degree in progress (or completed within the last 12 months) in Business, Aviation Management, Operations, Analytics, or a related field

  • Strong academic record with a commitment to excellence

Preferred Background


  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or administrative support roles

  • Involvement in student organizations, clubs, or volunteer activities

  • Internship or co-op experience in transportation, logistics, or sales operations

  • Familiarity with airline industry operations and procedures

Required Skills and Competencies


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
