Role Overview:
You will be playing a critical leadership role as a Manager in the Material Planning & Analytics Support team within Delta's Technology Hub. Your primary responsibility will be to integrate advanced analytics and reporting with operational material management to drive efficiency and strategic decision-making. You will supervise a team of specialists to ensure seamless coordination between data insights and supply chain operations. Your role will require a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and business acumen.
- Key Responsibilities:
- **Team Leadership:** You will supervise Technical Specialists and Materials Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- **Analytics Oversight:** Direct the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, and Python.
- **Process Optimization:** Ensure efficient handling of material forecasting, parts ordering, vendor coordination, invoice resolution, and material master data setup.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Project Managers, Procurement, and Material Planning leadership to align analytics and operational support with business objectives.
- **Data Governance:** Maintain accuracy and integrity of material data, source lists, and vendor pricing information.
- **Technology Transition:** Oversee migration of reporting systems from SQL to Python and support cloud platform transitions (e.g., AWS).
- **Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements across analytics and material support functions.
- **Compliance & Safety:** Ensure adherence to safety-conscious behaviors and company standards in all processes.
- Qualification Required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an aviation-related field (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering).
- 12+ years of working experience in Supply Chain, procurement, and inventory management.
- 4-6 years of experience in data analytics and material planning.
- Strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP required).
- Knowledge of vendor management, purchase order processes, and invoice resolution.
- Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimum supervision.
- Previous leadership experience and experience in "People Management" roles.
- Ability to embrace and appreciate the value of diverse people, thinking, and styles.
