About the Role
The Senior Data Architect will serve as a critical leader in transforming and innovating our end-to-end Voice of the Customer methodology. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of big data technology, customer experience analytics, and enterprise reporting. You'll be responsible for designing and building robust data architecture that supports sophisticated survey processing, multilingual content delivery across 40+ research studies, and dashboard solutions deployed in over 20 countries.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product owners, process specialists, and agile technology teams to ensure our VoC platform delivers accurate, timely, and actionable customer insights. You'll work with Qualtrics, our premier survey vendor, to integrate survey data with our cornerstone big data platform, creating seamless workflows that empower business users across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture & Development: Lead the development and maintenance of the new Voice of the Customer technique sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with the Qualtrics survey and dashboard platform. Design scalable data models that support optimal processing and standardized metric definitions.
- Big Data Solutions: Engineer big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python. Deliver innovative solutions while ensuring data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use-case levels.
- Business Requirements Translation: Work closely with application teams to define, build, and capture business requirements. Collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
- Data Platform Enhancement: Grow knowledge of Voice of the Customer methods and leverage this expertise to transform data within the Cornerstone big data platform. Provide guidance to enhance capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs using the massive data ecosystem.
- Automation & Innovation: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency. Lead consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software programs, and build automation tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with teams across the organization to prioritize, define, increase, and test data for various use cases as part of the VoC end-to-end technique.
Essential Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, Pyspark, Python, and Shell scripting languages. Strong understanding of development launch management and troubleshooting for data-driven projects.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery where small increments of a product are introduced at regular intervals to business groups.
- Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
- Data Architecture Knowledge: Experience designing and building robust data model architecture to aid optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions.

- Experience with real-time streaming data processing architectures
