We are actively hiring for an Insurance Analyst III - Remote

Your Role: You will support the overall claims operations business strategy by performing analyses that address key business needs. In this role, you will develop solutions and recommendations for complex business problems and processes. By applying your insurance knowledge, analytical methods, and technical skills, you will tackle unstructured challenges and conduct high-level, complex analyses.

You will manage a diverse range of assignments, often varying in scope and complexity, and use your expertise to exercise sound judgment in your work. You may participate in large-scale initiatives and lead smaller projects, while also mentoring less experienced team members.

    Your Work:
  • Performs complex analysis of data for assigned client group and how it relates to overall objectives. Research includes enlisting the collaboration of different departments outside IPM/IPO and gaining their support on findings and action plan.
  • Applies knowledge gained from involvement in broader issues to make recommendations for procedure development and analysis needed for securing desired solution.
  • Prepares findings and recommendations for clients and may be co-presenter to senior management. May review work of less seasoned staff for accuracy, logic and appropriateness.
  • You may act as coach on processes for reporting out information to clients. Makes recommendations on efficiencies and calendar.
  • You will have exhibited experience and mid to high proficiency with the following tools or coding languages SQL/Oracle, SAS and Tableau.
  • The initial job duties will entail assisting the Claim Analytics Team with coding complex queries to satisfy data analytic questions and Operational reporting plus understand the accuracy and quality of data used for these critical business decisions.
  • You will also formulate opinions on whether additional vendor data or business data is needed to provide complete and accurate data insights.
    Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake, PowerBI, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques.
  • Excellent research, statistical, analytical, processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.
  • Adaptability and the capability of multi-tasking and strong time management.
  • Ability to make effective formal presentations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to coach and mentor co-workers and give feedback as required.
    What would make us excited about you?
  • Knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.
  • Advanced degree in related field and/or CPCU designation.

The national average salary range for this position is $99,855.00-$110,950.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $99,855.00-$133,250.00. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
