NorthStar Wellness – Mental Health Practice
Hours: 5–8 hours/week

Location: Remote (CT familiarity strongly preferred)
Before You Apply — Please Read Carefully
This role is not for SEO consultants, ad managers, funnel builders, social media agencies, or anyone selling marketing packages.
If your approach involves paid ads, SEO audits, keyword research, or “scaling strategies,” this is not a fit.
About the Practice
NorthStar Wellness is a small, therapist‑owned mental health practice centered on ethical, relational, and compassionate care. The practice primarily supports adults and new mothers navigating anxiety, life transitions, and postpartum mental health. We are intentionally growing without paid ads or aggressive marketing. Our focus is relationships, referrals, clarity, and trust.
What This Role Actually Is
This role is for someone who enjoys quiet, consistent, behind‑the‑scenes support for a small healthcare practice.
- You will help with:
- Community & referral outreach
- Light administrative and tech support
- Turning existing ideas into simple, clear language
- Keeping systems organized and up to date
You will not be asked to invent branding, run campaigns, or “drive growth” through gimmicks.
Responsibilities
- Community & Referral Outreach
- Research and organize local referral sources (OB‑GYNs, pediatricians, doulas, schools, community orgs)
- Draft and send simple, professional introduction emails
- Track outreach and follow‑ups in Google Sheets
- Help maintain ongoing referral relationships (light touch, not sales)
- Content & Communication Support
- Help turn existing ideas into short posts or blurbs (LinkedIn, website updates, directories)
- Repurpose existing copy (Psychology Today → website → outreach email)
- Maintain a simple posting or outreach cadence (quality over quantity)
- Admin & Tech Support (Light)
- Maintain scheduling links and contact forms
- Update website text (no redesigns)
- Help keep directories accurate and aligned
- Basic troubleshooting and organization
What We’re Looking For
- You are likely a fit if you:
- Have supported a small business, solo practitioner, nonprofit, or healthcare provider
- Are organized, calm, and detail‑oriented
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Are comfortable with Google Docs, Sheets, email, and basic website editing
- Understand that mental health practices grow through trust, not tactics
Experience in healthcare, mental health, education, or community work is a strong plus, but not required.
- What This Role Is NOT
- No sales quotas
- No cold calling
- No paid advertising
- No SEO work
- No pressure tactics
This is relationship‑based support, not marketing performance work.
How to Apply
Please do not send a generic proposal.
- Instead, in a short message, answer all three of the following:
- Tell us briefly about a small business, practice, or organization you’ve supported and how you helped.
- What tools or systems are you comfortable using?
- Why does this type of behind‑the‑scenes support role appeal to you?
Applications that do not answer these questions will not be considered.
Optional (But Helpful)
- If you’ve worked with:
- Therapists
- Medical practices
- Nonprofits
- Schools or community organizations
Please mention that experience.
