- *About the Role**
This position reports to the Supervisor of Team Administration and is a full-time opportunity that requires collaboration with the Head of Operations, Supervisor of Flight Operations, Overseer of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot, Head of Inflight, and other Team Schedulers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and optimization of flight crew resources, ensuring compliance with FAR Section 121 and FAR Section 117 crew scheduling requirements. Excellent communication skills are essential, and the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the company's values and culture while working with flight crews in a dynamic environment.
- *Key Responsibilities**
The Team Scheduler will be responsible for:
- Ensuring efficient use of pilots and daily tracking of their participation.
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to all crew members by handling all scheduling-related matters, including transferring relevant information, procedures, and administrative data.
- Notifying crew members of changes to their daily/monthly schedules; communicating schedule changes to crew members in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all crew member tasks are in compliance with FAA-mandated Section 91, Section 121, Section 117 guidelines and company policies.
- Continuous monitoring and verification of the accuracy of the flight plan by ensuring all sections have been assigned to a qualified crew.
- Resolving flight crew legitimacy issues and lay requirements based on relevant administrative and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining essential communication with all crew members, flight control, and station staff related to team schedules.
- Processing trip trades, trip drops, sick calls, emergency leaves, and other daily schedule changes.
- Securing all necessary facilities, including but not limited to, lodging and deadhead flight booking.
- Ensuring the use of reserve crew members in the most efficient and convenient manner possible to guarantee operational reliability.
- Ensuring compliance with FARs, contract requirements, and departmental policies.
- Working closely with dispatchers to resolve issues and direct the efficient daily operation of the aircraft.
- Reporting on daily scheduling and division status.
- Other duties as assigned.
- *Requirements**
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Self-motivated, with an inspirational attitude and the ability to proactively identify and prevent potential operational disruptions.
- Two years of experience in customer service or a carrier role, or one year of Team Scheduling experience preferred.
- Ability to focus and adapt quickly to evolving conditions/needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on quality, tone, detail, and precision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general web applications.
- Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays on a case-by-case basis.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints and in high-stress situations effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work independently and as a vital part of a team.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using decimals and hours/minutes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Availability to work all shifts assigned within Team Support, including 12 PM shifts, weekends, and holiday schedules.
