Position Overview
The Senior Real Estate Data Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external customers, including Corporate Facilities, Airport Affairs, and Real Estate workgroups. This position requires a strategic thinker who is excited to apply an advanced understanding of the built environment and performance metrics as part of our Real Estate Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and communicating complex findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Real Estate Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Leading data analysis initiatives: Drive efforts with data analysis, reports, and implement tactics to improve the productivity and accuracy of reporting across the organization.
- Process improvement: Aid in the development of new processes, equipment, and reports to support enhanced performance of Real Estate, Airport Affairs, and Corporate Facilities teams.
- Cost optimization analysis: Conduct analysis to drive cost improvements based on airport lease allocations and station staffing requirements.
- Data management: Collect and manage raw data to create understandable, presentable, and actionable findings suitable for presentation across all levels of leadership.
- Toolset development: Drive solutions and provide recommendations about the Real Estate analytical toolset, maintaining and enhancing its functionality.
- Content management: Define content control systems, workflows, and templates while identifying on-site access permissions for various stakeholders.
- Leadership support: Assist leadership with data gathering, analysis, and reporting related to department-driven metrics and strategic initiatives.
- Data visualization: Use analytics data preparation and data visualization tools to acquire and understand large, complex data sets surrounding company industrial and operational performance.
- Team collaboration: Work in a cooperative spirit, mentoring teammates and partnering with other company data teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Problem anticipation: Anticipate problems and communicate solutions in a timely manner to ensure project continuity and success.
- Training and education: Provide education to internal customers on reporting teams and methodologies to enhance data literacy across the organization.
- Additional duties: May perform other job responsibilities as directed by leadership to support department and company objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate:
- Business acumen: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, financial monitoring, resource modeling, and maintenance practices.
- Technical proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including robust Excel experience with pivot tables, lookup functions, and complex formulas. Proficiency in MS Access for database queries and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Data management expertise: Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
- Analytical thinking: Skilled in enhancing existing data solutions while balancing assigned work and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving capabilities: Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or processes to address complex problems.
- Technical planning: Ability to analyze design techniques, tools, and standards involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Statistical analysis: Ability to apply various methodologies and high-level statistical concepts to discover new insights or conventional metrics.
- Communication skills: Ability to correctly communicate information (written, verbal, and visual) with all levels of the company, including Senior Leadership.
- Data extraction: Ability to collect data using both SQL and data transformation tools such as Alteryx.
- Trend analysis: Ability to identify and analyze trends in large sets of data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust rapidly to changing priorities and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Initiative: Ability to initiate projects, perform responsibilities, reply to inquiries, provide unusual or smart ideas, and develop innovative approaches to solve problems without direction or supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- Prior experience with data analysis, reporting, and data modeling in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and/or Python for advanced data manipulation and visualization.
- Experience in the real estate, facilities management, or aviation industry is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education: Required – High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Advanced degree experience, professional, and specialized understanding in:
- Analyst or equivalent function
- Data collection and analysis
- Designing and producing report dashboards
