Position Overview


We are seeking an accomplished and hands-on Senior Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team at arenaflex. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of talented engineers while making key decisions that impact a broad range of cross-functional partners. Your role will remain technically hands-on, involving close work with code, technical details, and data. You'll contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments, ensuring the highest quality standards across all our software initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on technical matters, career development, and professional growth for team members.

  • Technical Hands-On Involvement: Remain actively engaged with code, technical details, and data. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical problem-solving sessions to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

  • Architectural Planning: Contribute to the design and planning of complex software systems. Define technical requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and make informed decisions about architecture, tools, and methodologies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams across software, services, and AI/ML domains. Represent your team and technology in cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

  • Project Leadership: Drive complex, cross-functional projects from inception to delivery. Define requirements, set objectives, create multi-year roadmaps, and lead the design and execution phases of software development.

  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential risks in technical projects, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure projects stay on track regarding quality, timeline, and budget.

  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with external customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and translate requirements into technical solutions that exceed expectations.

  • Technical Depth: Discuss bugs and technical challenges in-depth, providing expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Decision Making: Make clear, data-driven decisions based on analysis and evidence rather than intuition. Leverage metrics and analytics to inform technical and strategic choices.

  • API Development: Experience with API development and working with API consumers. Understanding of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the technology sector, including software development best practices, agile methodologies, and modern DevOps practices.

  • AI/ML Experience: Background in artificial intelligence and machine learning projects is a plus, especially related to integrating AI capabilities into software products.
