Position Overview

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Business Intelligence and Product teams to accelerate customer growth through sophisticated experimentation design and in-depth analysis. You will be responsible for building predictive models, developing actionable insights, and creating comprehensive dashboards that inform strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and driving business outcomes. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Customer Insight Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of customer needs and behaviors to identify pain points, satisfaction drivers, and opportunities for growth through clicks, conversions, channel performance, and engagement metrics.
- Predictive Modeling: Build advanced statistical and machine learning models to derive insights on factors driving performance, including user reach, customer retention, referral patterns, and revenue growth.
- Dashboard Development: Create dynamic dashboards and comprehensive reports that provide meaningful analysis and discussion, explaining product, marketing, and business trends for executive-level reporting.
- Stakeholder Communication: Inform and update leadership and stakeholders on product performance, strategic initiatives, and progress toward key metrics through clear, data-backed presentations.
- Testing Strategy: Define data testing plans and develop methodologies that enable teams to iterate quickly and release new features for experimentation, with successful tests rolled out globally.
- Product Roadmap Alignment: Focus the product roadmap on achieving meaningful metrics and making decisive judgments about feature prioritization and resource allocation.
- Consumer Research: Develop deep dives into consumer insights and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation and process improvement across teams.
- Insight Integration: Help teams understand and integrate consumer insights, preferences, and behaviors into the product and testing roadmap to fuel sustainable growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enable successful launch of new growth initiatives through testing and iteration.
- Impact Assessment: Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams on the impact of product launches, including target launch metrics, A/B testing results, and post-launch performance analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Distil complex metrics into statistically significant deviations that impact reach, retention, referral, and revenue metrics.
- Data Quality Management: Research data sources and monitor data quality while working closely with Data Engineering teams to establish actionable requirements.
- Business Translation: Translate business problems into answerable questions through data analysis and convert business needs into technical requirements.
- Strategic Projects: Plan and lead time-sensitive strategic analysis projects, including methodology development, analysis, key recommendations, and presentation of findings to Senior Management.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is required. You should be comfortable working with large-scale datasets and have experience with big data technologies including Hive, Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a highly quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or Data Science is essential.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working in the financial sector or fintech industry is highly preferred.
- Data Analysis Skills: Proven track record of analyzing data and generating actionable insights for consumer-centered organizations.
- Data Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with query development and data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Strong machine learning skills, including clustering analysis, neural networks, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Statistical Proficiency: Extensive experience with statistical methods including correlation analysis, design of experiments, linear and nonlinear regressions, logistic regression, sampling and resampling methods, time series analysis, and longitudinal analysis.
- Digital Product Experience: Significant experience with and passion for mobile and web products, with a strong understanding of the digital ecosystem from applications to marketing and analytics.
- Project Management: A history of proactively establishing and fulfilling commitments with minimal supervision.
- Analytical Thinking: A combination of consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and technical knowledge to drive data-informed decisions.
- Decision-Making: Demonstrated use of analytics, statistics, and benchmarking to drive strategic business decisions.
