What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Analyst – Quality Consultant at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our marketing initiatives within assigned product categories. You'll be responsible for leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decisions that directly impact sales performance, gross margin, and market share growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Sales Performance: Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives within your assigned category, using data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize product mix


• Data Analysis & Integration: Analyze relevant market data and integrate findings into comprehensive Category Plans, including recommendations for optimal SKU assortment, loyalty program strategies (such as ExtraCare), and promotional initiatives


• Strategic Execution: Lead the tactical execution of daily plan activities, including off-rack merchandising designs, tracking promotional periods, and performing gap analysis to recommend corrective actions when necessary


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams including Inventory, Pricing, Marketing, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Advertising, and Store Operations to ensure alignment and maximize category performance


• Sales & Inventory Analysis: Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock to identify trends, optimize turnover rates, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations


• Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a strong understanding of current competitive landscape, identify new competitive opportunities, and make strategic recommendations to stay ahead of market trends


• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with market changes, research customer product preferences, supplier pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning


• Quality Assurance: Ensure all data analysis and reporting meets arenaflex's high quality standards, implementing best practices for data accuracy and integrity

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field


• Retail Math Expertise: Working knowledge of retail math concepts with demonstrated practical application in pricing, margin analysis, and inventory management


• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Access or other database systems is a plus


• Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategic recommendations


• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings to stakeholders at all levels


• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel approximately 5-10% for team meetings, store visits, and strategic planning sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail category management, merchandising, or brand marketing


• Familiarity with pharmacy or healthcare retail operations


• Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms


• Understanding of consumer behavior and market research methodologies
