Position Overview: Retail Shift Associate

As a Retail Shift Associate at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail locations. Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex team, your responsibilities will include:


  • Delivering Exceptional Customer Service: Anticipate customer needs with empathy and care. Greet every customer with warmth and enthusiasm, actively listen to their requests, and provide personalized assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience.

  • Product Knowledge & Assistance: Maintain thorough knowledge of store products and services. Guide customers to additional items they may need, answer questions about products, and make recommendations based on customer preferences and needs.

  • Cash Handling & Transactions: Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions following company policies and procedures. Maintain transparency and accuracy in all financial dealings while ensuring security and compliance.

  • Store Merchandising: Restock shelves, check in vendor deliveries, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the shift supervisor. Ensure the sales floor is always clean, organized, and inviting.

  • Store Operations Support: Assist with opening and closing store activities as required. This includes preparing the store for the day, ensuring all systems are operational, and securing the location at the end of each shift.

  • Department Support: Provide customer service across all departments, including photo and beauty. Ensure all departments are fully stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.

  • Pharmacy Support: Assist pharmacy staff as needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy area as part of growth and career development opportunities. Support prescription fulfillment and maintain a clean, efficient pharmacy environment.

Required Qualifications & Capabilities

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to remain upright on feet for extended periods, especially during busy shifts. Capability to lift and move up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and handle minimal amounts of force regularly to move objects to and from, including above-shoulder lifting.
  • Visual Acuity: Must have close visual acuity to perform essential job functions, including viewing workstations, reading, visual inspection, and working with small parts and details.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, team members, and management.
  • Customer Focus: A genuine desire to help others and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in every interaction.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
