We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Overnight Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a 3rd shift representative, you'll work from 11pm to 7am, Monday to Friday, and will be responsible for performing approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and helping customers with any questions. You'll undertake an intermediary role between potential clients and our financial institution, ensuring that our customers receive timely and accurate support.
- *Key Responsibilities and Duties**
As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to communicate with customers and potential clients
- Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to accounts, including customer interactions and loan applications
- Using basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions
- Speaking clearly, concisely, and effectively, while listening to and understanding information and ideas as presented verbally
- Maintaining a professional manner, showing sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers
- Following written and/or verbal instructions, while working within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
- Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
- Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan and making recommendations accordingly
- Following up with customers to clarify important points and finalize loan details
- Remaining up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services, including new products and initiatives
- Creating and renewing records, as required
- Identifying customer needs and exploring all options available to customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and change quickly with the needs of the company
- Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
- Meeting monthly individual goals as set by management
- *Essential and Preferred Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of a High school diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support and service to our clients
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, and navigate tense situations with ease
- Proficient use of technology, including computers, software applications, and phone systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
- *Preferred Education and/or Experience**
While a minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required, we prefer candidates with:
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or sales role
- Experience working in a financial institution or related industry
- Familiarity with loan applications, credit checks, and other financial services

As a remote customer service representative, you'll need to be proficient in:
- MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Internet and cloud-based storage, including Google Drive or Dropbox
- Phone systems, including VoIP and CRM software
