As a Member Services Representative on our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's daily transactions. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our members. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of financial products, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and security of our members' transactions.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Complete daily tasks related to check processing, including coordinating returns with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work member cases/assignments and follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
  • Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, review, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfer information
  • Communicate with vendors to process wire transfers
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer laws
  • Deposit check returns, review member checks on draft changes, process member checks, affirm members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
  • *What You'll Need for Success**
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Previous customer/member service experience
  • Previous banking or credit union experience
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
