In this role, you will assist in guiding the creation, implementation, and support of data analysis and AI/ML models that power our attractions and guest-facing systems. You'll work closely with internal partners to deliver exceptional visitor experiences through intelligent, data-driven systems across arenaflex Experiences.

You'll be reporting to our Attractions Functional Innovation team, where your technical expertise will directly contribute to creating magical moments for millions of guests worldwide.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Learning Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how we deliver personalized, data-driven experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

• Fostering Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional team members, providing thought leadership and demonstrating influence by driving initiatives to completion efficiently and effectively.


• Research & Innovation: Engage with researchers and colleagues to drive ML strategies forward, identifying areas where complex business challenges can be solved creatively through applied machine learning.


• Team Leadership: Lead and collaborate with diverse teams of specialists and data scientists to execute and successfully scale ML solutions that create magical experiences for our guests while pushing the boundaries of operational excellence.


• Research & Development: Drive innovative development, proofs of concept, technology initiatives, and client interactions that lead to building world-class AI platforms.


• Operational Excellence: Manage functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by your team, ensuring reliability and performance.


• Process Optimization: Build standard methodologies used in daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI/ML space.


• Model Development: Productionize ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, NLP, anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to achieve goals in improving system performance while aligning with existing software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and comprehensive code reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Technical Expertise: 2+ years of demonstrated mastery in Python with predictive modeling experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, or similar technologies.


• Cloud Platform Proficiency: 2+ years of expert-level experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Software Development: Strong proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.


• Data Management: Expert-level experience with both structured and unstructured data (including images, video, text, audio) and SQL relational as well as NoSQL databases.


• Data Workflow: 2+ years of experience with Airflow or another data workflow management tool.


• Version Control & DevOps: Experience with version control software such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.


• Business Acumen: Experience leading discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and expected outcomes, combined with strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.


• Systems Architecture: Strong systems integration architecture skills with the ability to translate new technology into practical business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience would be highly valued:

• Experience with Docker containerization


• Experience with configuration management tools


• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration


• Experience with cloud solutions in GCP or other cloud platforms


• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment


• Experience with data visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)


• Experience with audio analysis


• Experience with text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred: Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
