About This Role

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Functional Analyst to join our Enterprise Systems team, specializing in SAP Ariba and Oracle PeopleSoft platforms. This position plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, serving as the essential liaison between our IT department and key business stakeholders. As a Functional Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for understanding client requirements, analyzing system needs, developing detailed specifications, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirements Analysis: Analyze and translate complex cross-functional business requirements and process flows, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical specifications.


• Gap Analysis: Perform comprehensive gap analysis between current-state and future-state processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement and recommending innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.


• Technical Specification Development: Create detailed technical specifications by collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams, translating functional designs into technical blueprints, validating macro plans, and reviewing micro designs for accuracy and completeness.


• Testing and Validation: Plan, develop, and execute rigorous testing protocols including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure all solutions meet quality standards and business requirements.


• Systems Analysis: Perform thorough systems and data analysis to determine functional design requirements, understanding how systems should operate and how changes in conditions, operations, and environments will impact outcomes.


• Application Configuration: Manage, define, and execute application-specific configurations across various systems and interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and system integration.


• Process Optimization: Identify and resolve issues proactively, often anticipating problems before they occur or escalate, developing and evaluating multiple options and implementing effective solutions.


• Standards Development: Create and ensure adherence to established frameworks of standards, best practices, services, and patterns that guide organizational technology initiatives.


• Acquisition Expertise: Obtain and maintain a strong understanding of acquisition processes, including both strategic elements such as supplier management, spend analysis, strategic sourcing, and supplier onboarding, as well as operational aspects including MRP, requisitioning, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing, and payment processing.


• Stakeholder Collaboration: Respond to inquiries from IT and Business teams, working from documented detailed business requirements within the context of target business outcomes while considering business processes, data, client relationships, and technology.


• Delivery Support: Support the delivery of projects and improvements, clarifying requirements and performing supporting configuration as needed while participating in solution design and mentoring business teams on data activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba experience is required.


• Analytical Background: Minimum 3 years of functional analysis or comparable experience, demonstrating a commitment to applying appropriate skills and effort to deliver quality work that exceeds expectations.


• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with a proven capacity to analyze complex problems and provide effective, innovative solutions.


• Communication Excellence: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and engage effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.


• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, and excellent time management abilities that enable you to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.


• Track Record: Proven history of successful execution and project delivery, with experience working cross-functionally between business and Information Systems teams.


• Agile Experience: Previous experience working in an Agile environment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other ERP implementation projects is strongly preferred.


• 2-5 years of business information experience in enterprise environments.


• Proficiency in Google productivity suite including email, spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.


• Working knowledge of ServiceNow (Carts+) Portfolio and Program Management module.


• Knowledge of PeopleSoft or Ariba software and systems is highly desirable.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits Package
