- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will be an integral part of our patient-centric care team, providing exceptional service to our customers and patients. You will work closely with our pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of patient records.

- *Key Responsibilities**
- Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of patient records.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, and process prescriptions.

- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, ensuring information is entered efficiently, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for potential interactions.
- Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
- Report, immediately, prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program.
- Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required.
- Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding merchandise.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
- Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager.
- Assist and support the Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications.
- Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures, and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules.
- May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required; assist pharmacy staff in coordination of medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors.
- Assist Pharmacy Manager and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities.
- *Education & Personal Development**
- Earn and maintain % certification through the unique % training program and/or state required certification/registration.
- Otherwise, earn % certification as a condition of promotion to senior technician.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager and acquire continuing education credit.
- Maintain expertise and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments.
- Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). This course is recommended for three semester hours at the lower-division baccalaureate/companion degree category and 5 semester hours in the upper-division baccalaureate degree category for a total of 8 semester hours.
- *Basic Qualifications**
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex.
- Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
