By executing pipelines, data designs, and data warehouse structures, this team serves as the backbone for decision-making at arenaflex.

  • *About the Job**

arenaflex is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to be a key contributor to our data engineering team. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues and partners to understand data requirements, collaborate with design, product, and external teams to gather required data, and design, build, and execute large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for our Data Lake and Data Warehouse. You will also build reusable architectures that improve the reliability and flexibility of our ETLs, manage a set of data products that deliver high-quality, reliable data, and mentor and train colleagues to improve their skills and designs.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Work with colleagues and partners to understand data requirements and collaborate with design, product, and external teams to gather required data
  • Design, build, and execute large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for our Data Lake and Data Warehouse
  • Build reusable architectures that improve the reliability and flexibility of our ETLs
  • Manage a set of data products that deliver high-quality, reliable data
  • Mentor and train colleagues to improve their skills and designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives
  • *Essential Qualifications:**
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
  • 3+ years of experience working with ETL tools and workflow management tools like Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, and Apache Spark
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience working with distributed computing and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake, and data governance concepts
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
  • Experience working with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
