- *Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and coach a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support in the development of data analytics and science solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and IT experts to design, develop, and deploy scalable data analytics and science solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain complex data models and reporting structures, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Drive the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and science, evaluating their relevance and potential impact on our organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and success.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data analytics and science processes, including data models, reporting structures, and data governance policies.
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to improve data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement data integration and ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain data security and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- *Essential Qualifications**
- 15+ years of active experience in data analytics and science, with a strong background in data engineering, data governance, and data security.
- 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, demonstrating the ability to guide and lead a team.
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, including ADLS, Azure Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, and other large data innovations.
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools, languages, ML, and systems, including Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience working with data representation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools, to effectively communicate insights.
- Strong understanding of cloud stages, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, to design and execute adaptable and productive data analytics and science solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Lakehouse design standards, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for efficient and adaptable data management.
- High-level SQL skills, with a strong understanding of social databases and business data storage to write complex SQL queries against multiple data sources.
- Experience managing high-volume and high-speed data streams, and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time analysis.
- Experience in shaping the essential vision for data analytics and science drives within an organization.
- Effective management of data analytics projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth, adapt to emerging technologies, and execute industry best practices.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, Data Science, or related technical discipline.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain industries.
- *Compensation and Benefits**
- Competitive salary range: $160,000 - $230,000
