- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Data Analyst, you'll play a critical role in our Clinical Research and Evidence Generation team, working closely with our Clinical Trials colleagues to generate high-quality, real-world evidence (RWE) that informs biopharmaceutical research and development. You'll be responsible for designing and executing advanced statistical analyses, developing and maintaining complex data models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Design and execute advanced statistical analyses to extract insights from large datasets, including patient populations and treatment outcomes
- Develop and maintain complex data models to support clinical research and evidence generation
- Collaborate with Clinical Trials colleagues to generate high-quality, real-world evidence (RWE) that informs biopharmaceutical research and development
- Clean, transform, and store data into a centralized data lake for future analysis and broader team utilization
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis to break down RWE/RWD and identify new insights regarding patient populations and treatment results
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other visualizations to support business decisions and stakeholder engagement
- Conduct regular quality evaluations of new data sources and drive RWD quality assessments to inform investment decisions
- *Essential Capabilities**
- Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses, including observational studies and clinical trials
- Knowledge of standard statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, regression, decision trees, machine learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
- Experience handling large datasets from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, and other healthcare information systems
- Experience working with protected patient health information (PHI) and adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines
- Familiarity with at least one business intelligence (BI) tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other similar platforms
- *Preferred Capabilities**
- PhD or graduate degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field
- Mastery of EHR/Health IT, disease libraries, and claims data sets
- Knowledge of clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare information and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
- Experience working on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance rules for RWE studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions
- Familiarity with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics, and other advanced statistical techniques
