About the Role
As an E-Commerce Marketplace Account Manager at arenaflex, you will be chartered with acquiring, developing, and managing high-value relationships that expand our product selection, enhance pricing competitiveness, and improve customer convenience. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying product selection gaps, executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and attracting key marketplace players to join our e-commerce ecosystem.
Your efforts will directly contribute to maximizing our product selection offerings and growing our customer base. You'll work closely with sellers to help them succeed on our platform, providing data-driven insights that enable them to achieve high standards of delivery, exceptional customer experiences, and their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of our marketplace growth team, you will:
- Develop Deep Market Insights: Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the U.S. marketplace segment, including seasonality trends, global developments, and competitive activities. Continuously monitor competitor efforts and market shifts to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prospect and Acquire High-Caliber Sellers: Identify, prospect, and recruit exceptional sellers to our platform through direct sales visits, virtual events, presentations, and strategic outreach initiatives.
- Guide Sellers to Success: Share industry best practices and data-driven insights with sellers to help them achieve excellence in online selling, including optimizing their product listings, pricing strategies, and fulfillment performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve vendor challenges, ensuring a seamless experience for our seller partners.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and seller acquisition strategies.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor seller performance metrics and implement improvement plans to ensure our marketplace maintains high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key sellers, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor within the arenaflex ecosystem.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years of successful business-to-business (B2B) sales experience is required. Prior experience in e-commerce, technology, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries is strongly preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using consultative and solutions-focused selling approaches.
- New Market Experience: Experience in launching nascent products or services into new markets is highly valued.
- Communication Skills: Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs. Comfort with data analysis and reporting tools is essential.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and remain effective amid evolving priorities and challenges.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights.
