Position Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic team on a part-time, remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and IT operations, helping us build and scale AI solutions that will identify, predict, and prescribe solutions for issues before they impact operations. You will play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and performance of arenaflex's IT infrastructure.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with knowledgeable experts and colleagues using an integrated approach to work on innovative and complex solutions utilizing AI and statistical analysis. You will have the chance to develop models using machine learning, deep learning, and other similar technologies to predict and analyze data on hardware and software systems within our large server infrastructure to prevent outages and pinpoint errors.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and deep learning solutions that predict and analyze hardware and software system behavior within large server infrastructures

Problem Prevention: Create intelligent systems that identify, anticipate, and recommend solutions for issues before they impact business operations, enhancing overall system reliability

Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams using integrated approaches to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges

System Implementation: Support processes related to the deployment of systems into production, including integration of purchased solutions

Development Activities: Responsible for design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of AI/ML models and pipelines

Data Pipeline Optimization: Analyze unstructured data sources and engineer new features to improve existing data pipelines

Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems

Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, methodologies, and solutions

Team Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical guidance and expertise to support the broader team success

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field

Experience & Technical Skills

2+ years of experience in AI/Machine Learning with domain knowledge

2+ years of experience with data-driven statistical modeling

2+ years of experience with discriminative methods, feature extraction, and analysis

2+ years of experience in supervised learning techniques

2+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar

2+ years of experience in data extraction, data wrangling, visualization, and analysis

Experience analyzing and implementing statistical models, machine learning algorithms, or other customized solutions that demonstrate significant impact

Experience optimizing existing data pipelines by analyzing unstructured data sources and engineering new features

Ability to provide technical support and expertise to the broader team

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field; or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of AI, Data Mining, Statistics, Applied Science, or a related field

Familiarity with AIOps platforms and IT operations analytics

Experience with large-scale server infrastructure monitoring and optimization
