**Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Insurance and Customer Information Management**

- *Job Summary:**
As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in maintaining our database by accurately entering new and updated customer and insurance information. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You'll work closely with our laboratory team to process customer and insurance source documents, and your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively validate incomplete information with customers and clinics.
- *Primary Responsibilities:**
- Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
- Processes customer and insurance source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
- Enters customer and insurance data after samples are processed by laboratory.
- Double checks their work and assures all data is in the case correctly.
- Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
- Verifies entered customer and insurance data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
- Contacts customer/clinic directly to validate incomplete information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Prepares requisitions to be filed daily.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Marketing, or Business related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, clinics, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with data program techniques and procedures.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- *Physical Demands & Work Environment:**
Duties are typically performed in an office setting. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
