  • *Job Description:**
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Answer inbound telephone calls, as well as customer inquiries in other channels (email, chat, SMS) as needed, in a courteous, timely, and professional manner, following established guidelines and policies.
  • Make outbound calls as necessary based on business needs.
  • Resolve or escalate customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Encourage the use of electronic communication with customers.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions using Case Management or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality with each customer interaction, as measured by internal quality monitoring forms and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Follow-up established escalation process for customer inquiries requiring more investigation and/or a higher level of support.
  • Utilize frequently asked questions (FAQs) and help look up and provide information to inquiries.
  • Leverage departmental knowledge bases and training material to answer customer inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Adhere to published schedule according to attendance guidelines.
  • May be required to work some weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • *Essential Qualifications:**
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience in a call center or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other technology tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with Veterans' benefits and services.
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technology.
  • Experience with case management or CRM systems.
