  • *Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – State Disbursement Unit – Work From Home Opportunity, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer service calls and correspondence according to Standard Operating Procedures and contact requirements
  • Processing correspondence in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
  • Documenting correspondence and contacts in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
  • Completing arenaflex system and State system updates in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
  • Interpreting, applying, analyzing, and explaining laws, procedures, and regulations pertaining to SDU payment processing procedures and programs
  • Maintaining accurate and interrelated records
  • Responding promptly to customer needs
  • Identifying and resolving errors
  • Working with integrity and ethically
  • Working independently with little direction
  • Meeting schedules and timelines
  • Working confidentially with discretion
  • Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Applying interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of customer service techniques, including how to handle upset callers
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

  • Ability to interpret, apply, analyze, and explain laws, procedures, and regulations pertaining to SDU payment processing procedures and programs
  • Ability to maintain accurate and interrelated records

  • *Education and/or Experience**
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year prior experience in an area of service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or other related field
  • OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work
  • *Language Skills**
  • Must be fluent in English – Speaking, Reading & Writing
  • *Computer Skills**
  • Must be proficient in data entry skills including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad
  • Must have experience and knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products
