- *Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll be responsible for providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and reviving benefits, and communicating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner.
- *Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy via telephone
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reviving benefits
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
- Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
- Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- *Requirements**
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience in the healthcare industry, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners
- *Training and Development**
- 4-week training program, with a PTO blackout period
- Training schedules: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST
- Post-training schedule: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM PST

- Competitive hourly rate: $17.00 - $28.45
