- *Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a key role in problem-solving customer concerns related to contract provider payments for housing and claim status/inquiries from hospitals, specialists, and nursing homes. You'll handle a large volume of inbound and outbound phone calls/emails/faxes from participants/their families, nursing homes, housing providers, providers, hospitals, and billing offices. Your exceptional customer service skills, patience, and people-first attitude will ensure that our customers receive efficient and professional support.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls/emails/faxes from customers, responding to their concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Research payment issues, identify solutions, and respond to customers in an efficient and professional manner
- Enter new enrollees, enter new auth referrals for hospitals/nursing homes/home care, update participant demographics, insurance, and send/receive correspondence
- Perform other administrative tasks as required, including data entry and record-keeping
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and industry developments to provide accurate and informed support to customers
- *Essential Qualifications**
- 5 years of experience managing high-volume customer service in a healthcare setting, including inbound and outbound calls, referral entry, correspondence, payment, and claim inquiries
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Customer Service, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience with computerized spreadsheet applications, managed care payment systems, Epic, QuickBooks Pro software, or other business accounting software
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
