- *Key Responsibilities:**
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Handling a high volume of customer service calls in a prompt and courteous manner, resolving patient questions and problems regarding patient accounts, payments, and services.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and leadership.
- Providing outstanding customer service, deescalating and remaining positive in all situations with difficult customers.
- Taking patient demographics and other patient information as needed.
- Reviewing explanation of benefit (EOB) documentation and notating accounts on collection activity to perform account resolution.
- Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
- Collecting patient payments in accordance with payment due dates and establishing payment plans within approved guidelines.
- Completing and mailing necessary patient statements and return mail in a timely manner.
- Creating an atmosphere of comfort, peace, and making it easy for the patient; the patient is our first business.
- Answering all phone calls within 2 minutes of the call hitting the system.
- Answering and ending all phone calls within the set dialogue parameters established by leadership.
- Answering on average 65 calls a day.
- Attending in-services, seminars, and webinars for additional education and performance improvement.
- Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience in customer service and/or call center industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Customer Service Basics or equivalent training preferred.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Internet navigation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
