Important Location Requirement: This position is designated as work from home, and you must reside in the State of Florida to be eligible for this role. This requirement allows us to maintain compliance with state regulations while providing you with the flexibility to work in your ideal environment.

Training and Schedule Information

To ensure your success in this role, arenaflex provides comprehensive training that will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel. Here's what you need to know about our training and scheduling:


  • Initial Training: All new team members must complete 4 weeks of virtual training. Training sessions are conducted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. This structured training program is designed to set you up for long-term success.

  • Permanent Schedule: After successfully completing training, your permanent schedule will be Monday through Friday. Shifts can begin as early as 8:00 AM EST and may end as late as 7:00 PM EST, providing you with flexibility while ensuring we maintain coverage during peak service hours.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative specializing in claims inquiry and research, you'll be at the heart of our provider support operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Customer Inquiry Response: Professionally and efficiently answer questions and resolve issues based on phone calls, emails, and written correspondence from healthcare members, providers, and plan sponsors. You'll serve as the first point of contact for many healthcare providers seeking clarification on claims-related matters.

  • Claims Research and Resolution: Conduct extensive research on multiple platforms to assist providers with payment questions. This involves navigating complex claims systems, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate processing. You'll become an expert at digging deep to find solutions.

  • Triage and Escalation: Expertly triage resulting rework to appropriate staff members when issues require specialized attention. Your critical thinking skills will be essential in determining the best path forward for each unique situation.

  • Comprehensive Customer Support: Go above and beyond by providing customers with related information to answer unasked questions. This includes explaining additional plan details, benefit plan information, and guiding members toward self-service tools that can help them manage their healthcare needs independently.

  • Financial Decision-Making: Use our customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions that resolve member issues. You'll have the authority to make judgment calls that directly impact customer satisfaction and financial outcomes.

  • Rights and Compliance: Clearly explain member's rights and responsibilities in accordance with contractual agreements. Your role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

  • Claims Processing: Process claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints from members and providers, as well as grievances and appeals through our target system. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in this responsibility.

  • Provider Education: Educate and assist providers on our self-service options, empowering them to resolve common issues independently. You'll also assist providers with credentialing and re-credentialing questions and contracting issues.

  • Audit Support: Assist in compiling claim data for customer audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available. This role supports our commitment to transparency and accountability.

  • Eligibility Verification: Determine medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verify member plan eligibility relating to incoming correspondence and internal referrals. Your work directly impacts whether patients receive the care they need.

Required Qualifications

  • Residency: Must live in the state of Florida full-time. This is a non-negotiable requirement due to licensing and regulatory considerations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. You'll need to create documents, manage data, and communicate effectively through these platforms.
  • Call Center Experience: Previous experience in a highly transactional call center environment is required. The ability to handle high-volume calls while maintaining quality service is essential.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. While higher education is a plus, we believe in hiring based on skills, attitude, and potential.
