Position Overview: Customer Service Agent
As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth airport operations while delivering exceptional service to every passenger who walks through our doors. This position requires a unique blend of interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure. You'll be responsible for handling all aspects of passenger check-in, reservation management, boarding processes, and baggage handling—critical functions that keep our flights running on time and our customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities as a Customer Service Agent will include, but not be limited to:
- Passenger Check-In and Reservations: Efficiently process passenger check-in, issue boarding passes, and manage seat assignments using our advanced reservation systems. You'll handle ticket sales, modifications, cancellations, and answer a wide range of customer inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares, and travel policies.
- Baggage Handling and Tagging: Professionally tag and label passenger baggage, ensuring accurate routing and secure handling. You'll operate baggage belt systems, assist with loading and unloading luggage, and maintain careful attention to detail to prevent lost or mishandled bags.
- Boarding and Deplaning Processes: Manage the boarding process efficiently, verify passenger identification, assist with seat assignments, and ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations. You'll also facilitate smooth deplaning procedures and provide assistance to passengers with special needs.
- Customer Engagement and Support: Proactively welcome passengers, assess their needs, and provide personalized assistance. You'll explain available technology options, guide travelers through self-service kiosks, and ensure passengers are well-informed about their journey.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in both spoken and written English. Fluency in Spanish is required, and proficiency in additional languages such as Catalan is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
- Work Authorization: Must possess valid work authorization to work in the United States at the time of application. Arenaflex is unable to sponsor visa applications for this position.
- Availability and Scheduling: Must be able to work a fixed or rotating schedule that includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The aviation industry operates around the clock, and flexibility is essential to success in this role.
- Technical Skills: Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute to effectively operate the specialist computer systems used for passenger management and reservations.
- Education: Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent high school equivalency certification.
