Position Summary

arenaflex has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our Behavioral Health team. In this vital role, you will serve as an advocate for our members, guiding them through their health care journey with clarity, compassion, and expertise. You will provide exceptional advocate care to assist members in finding a clear path to care, understanding their claims, and achieving resolution. Additionally, you will educate members about available online resources and empower them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

As a Behavioral Health Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for guiding members through their plan of benefits, arenaflex policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Your role is critical in helping members navigate the complexities of behavioral health care, and you'll be equipped with the training and resources needed to provide world-class support.

Schedule and Work Environment


  • Position Type: Full-time

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM EST

  • Work Location: Remote (Work from Home)

  • Note: Schedules are subject to change at any time with advanced notice based on business needs

As a 24-hour call center operation, we treat holidays as normal working business days unless you have been approved for time off. This means you would work your normal shift if the Company Observed Holiday falls on your normal workday. Please note that PTO (Paid Time Off) is not available during the first 45 days of employment, allowing you to focus on comprehensive training and onboarding.

Training Requirements

The first six weeks of employment will consist of intensive training conducted Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST. This training period is essential for ensuring you have the knowledge and skills needed to excel in your role and provide exceptional support to our members.

Remote Workspace Requirements

To ensure success in this remote position, you must have a quiet and secure workspace in your home environment. When setting up your residential internet service, please consider the following technical requirements:


  • Internet Type: Broadband or fiber connection (e.g., Verizon Fios, Comcast, or similar providers)

  • Minimum Speed: 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload

  • Connection Type: Hardwired ethernet connection is required—wireless connections may introduce performance degradation risks

  • Bandwidth Management: Consider the internet usage of others in your household during scheduled working hours; you may need to obtain a higher speed connection to ensure optimal performance. Streaming video content and gaming during work hours will significantly reduce available bandwidth for your corporate equipment

What You Will Do

As a Behavioral Health Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your primary responsibility is to create meaningful, empathetic connections with our members. This is not just about answering questions—it's about understanding and engaging with members to the fullest to champion for their best health. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Create an empathetic connection with our members by understanding and engaging the member to the fullest to champion for our members' best health

  • Take accountability to fully understand the member's needs by building a trusting and caring relationship with the member

  • Anticipate customer needs by answering unasked questions and proactively providing information

  • Perform review of member claim history to ensure accurate tracking of benefit maximums and/or coinsurance/deductible

  • Perform financial data maintenance as necessary to maintain accurate member records

  • Explain member's rights and responsibilities in accordance with their contract and applicable regulations

  • Educate members about online resources and tools available to them

  • Guide members through their plan of benefits, arenaflex policy and procedures

  • Maintain knowledge of resources to comply with any regulatory guidelines

  • Provide claims understanding and resolution support

  • Assist members in finding a clear path to appropriate care

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:


  • 1+ years of experience in a call center environment

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have a quiet/secure workspace in your home for remote work

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out and excel in this role:


  • Previous experience in Behavioral Health, Medical, or Insurance background

  • Experience working from home in a remote role

  • Strong empathy and active listening skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $34.15 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for an arenaflex bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
