Position Overview: Safety Analyst

Are you ready to take the next step in your career as a Safety Analyst? arenaflex is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Analyst to join our Safety and Compliance team in Dallas, TX. As a Safety Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting our Safety department by handling reports, gathering information, generating reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating events, and participating in special projects as assigned. You will assist management in the development and execution of SMS data collection systems and various processes that promote efficiency and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as accepted industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex Safety team, your responsibilities will include:


  • Report Processing and Analysis: Review, process, analyze, and assess all reports received through the safety reporting system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.

  • Technical Data Investigation: Examine technical data from hazards, events, and incidents, identifying and interpreting trends or patterns in complex datasets to proactively address potential safety concerns.

  • Data Output Tracking: Track, analyze, and interpret data outputs from the company's safety programs to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

  • Database Management: Assist in the organization of corporate databases to support improved airline safety outcomes and ensure data integrity.

  • Investigation Support: Provide support to the Safety team in conducting thorough investigations and comprehensive safety analyses.

  • Technical Expertise: Offer technical expertise to Management regarding data models, database design development, and data mining techniques to enhance safety reporting capabilities.

  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare appropriate reports and communicate safety-related information to managers and line staff in support of the Safety Management System (SMS).

  • SMS Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and management of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Aid in the continuous improvement of the hazard identification and risk assessment plans of the organization.

  • Investigation Participation: Assist with company investigations and participate in root cause analysis exercises.

  • Internal Auditing: Serve as a safety evaluator for the Internal Audit Program, Safety Audits, and high-risk areas of operations.

  • Trend Reporting: Prepare investigation studies regarding flight safety trends and present findings to leadership.

  • Safety Promotion: Enhance Safety Promotion by serving as an ambassador of the SMS across all departments.

  • Compliance: Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, aviation standards, and internal policies and procedures established by arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Aviation Safety, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to moderate level Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets, create complex formulas, and generate meaningful insights.

  • Experience: Previous experience in data analysis and reporting is required. Experience in aviation safety or a related industry is highly desirable.

  • Self-Motivation: Must be a self-starter who can effectively work independently with minimal direction and guidance.

  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge as required by airport security regulations.
