What You'll Do
As a Data Analytics Analyst at arenaflex, you will be instrumental in supporting our data-driven decision-making processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Data Visualization Development: Assist in developing and implementing creative data visualization techniques to ensure that complex data is presented in meaningful and interpretable formats for audiences at all levels of the organization. You will work with various stakeholders to create dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate key insights effectively.
- Statistical Analysis: Support the development and execution of innovative analytical and statistical methods and supporting tools for evaluating company processes, business issues, and return on investment for products and services. This includes designing analysis frameworks, conducting statistical tests, and interpreting results to provide actionable recommendations.
- Variance Analysis: Collaborate with accounting groups and contracting teams to identify and isolate fluctuations resulting from over/under payment practices and incorporating these into actual-to-expected results. You will help ensure financial accuracy and identify areas where payment processes can be improved.
- Data Integrity Monitoring: Aid in the development and maintenance of automated processes to identify data and process integrity issues. You will provide leadership with detailed recommendations for issue resolution, analyze the upstream and downstream impact of identified issues, and communicate effectively with all affected parties.
- Strategic Analysis: Assist in developing timely, creative, objective analysis that leads to fact-based solutions for strategic business issues. You will identify, build, and drive issue definition and hypothesis planning as it relates to the specific business environment, combining externally sourced data with internal expertise.
- Reporting and Presentations: Prepare standard and ad-hoc management reports and presentations for projects. You will utilize query-based tools to create and run queries used for data mining and analytics to support other work responsibilities and ad-hoc assignments.
- Compliance Support: Perform specific tasks identified in the compliance monitoring system, including evaluation of definitions, cost increase support, and organization identification.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with peers in Sales, Finance, Law, Contract Development, and Contract Operations to ensure aligned business objectives and successful project outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Business, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to aid in the development of procedures and project plans that meet department objectives within budget and established timelines.
- Experience establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure quality standards for service.
- Experience developing approaches to achieving goals with minimal supervision, depending on oneself to resolve issues to ensure completed objectives, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Experience with time management skills, such as prioritizing/scheduling and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
- Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve issues.
- Experience analyzing and reporting information to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for example: using VLOOKUP function, merging and centering cells, printing centered pages and/or creating a pivot table).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: changing picture styles, customizing animation and/or setting automatic slide timings).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (for example: adding developer tab, creating a macro, formatting table style, inserting comments and/or creating a mail merge).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Knowledge of advanced coding languages (such as SAS, SQL, C++, etc.).
- Experience with teaching, coaching, and training staff.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, Benefit Consulting, or Managed Care organization operations.
- Experience with working with pharmacy data at a retail pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, benefit consultancy, or managed care organization.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry pricing.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, coordinating, and managing resources to achieve the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Experience with data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, and data warehouse management.
- Experience in a data warehouse/business intelligence/decision support systems environment or IT experience.
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and data mining techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
