English–Japanese Translation Specialist (Remote, Part-Time)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $29.32/hr (W2)
Schedule: 3 days/week, 7 hours/day (100% Remote)
Summary:
We are seeking a bilingual Translation Specialist to support accurate and timely English–Japanese translations for Head Office reporting. This role involves translating, editing, and proofreading business documents while ensuring high linguistic quality and adherence to reporting standards.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents and communications between English and Japanese with high accuracy
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure clarity and consistency
- Review and refine machine-translated content, providing feedback for improvement
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and manage revisions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Fluency in English and Japanese (written and verbal)
- 3–5 years of professional translation experience
- Strong understanding of business terminology and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
