The Role
We're looking for an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to own and execute email marketing across a portfolio of client accounts. From strategy and content ideation through build, deployment, deliverability, and performance analysis.
This is a highly autonomous, execution-focused role. You'll work directly with account leads and clients to shape email calendars, build automated flows, manage lists and segments, and continuously optimize performance.

What You'll Own
Strategy & Planning
- Own the email calendar for each assigned client, planned around business goals, promotions, and seasonal moments
- Develop content themes, messaging priorities, and send cadences in partnership with account leads
- Bring a point of view on what drives engagement and conversions
⚙️ Campaign Execution
- Build, test, and deploy campaigns across Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Kit (ConvertKit), and others
- Write and refine copy, subject lines, and preview text optimized for opens and clicks
- PM the design process — brief designers, review creative, and ensure brand consistency across all sends
Automation & Flows
- Build and maintain welcome series, post-purchase flows, win-back campaigns, cart/browse abandonment, and nurture tracks
- Map customer journey logic and implement triggers, conditions, and branching within each ESP
- Continuously audit and optimize live flows based on performance data
List & Audience Management
- Manage subscriber lists, segments, and tags across all client accounts and platforms
- Maintain list hygiene: suppression, bounce handling, unsubscribes, and re-engagement
- Build dynamic segments based on behavioral and demographic criteria
Deliverability & Technical Standards
- Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, and domain health across all client sending domains
- Ensure proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup; escalate issues proactively
- Enforce best practices for CAN-SPAM/GDPR compliance and cross-client rendering
Optimization & Reporting
- Track and report on open rate, click rate, conversion rate, revenue per email, unsubscribe rate, and deliverability metrics
- Run structured A/B tests on subject lines, send times, content formats, and CTAs
- Surface actionable insights to account leads and clients on a regular cadence

What We're Looking For
✅ **Required**
- 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience in an agency or multi-brand environment
- Proven proficiency in at least 3 of: Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Kit, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Strong copywriting skills: subject lines and email body copy, without heavy editing
- Experience building and optimizing automated flows and behavioral triggers
- Solid understanding of deliverability, list hygiene, and sender reputation
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- US-based (fully remote supported)
⭐ Preferred
- Agency experience managing 5+ concurrent client accounts
- Familiarity with ecommerce email patterns and Shopify integrations
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for basic template edits
- Experience connecting ESPs to broader tech stacks (Zapier, native integrations, etc.)
- GA4 or equivalent tracking integration experience

What Success Looks Like
30 days: You've audited all assigned accounts, established send calendars, and launched your first campaigns with minimal hand-holding.
90 days: Account leads trust you to run email end-to-end. Clients are seeing measurable improvements in engagement. You've identified and executed at least one meaningful deliverability or list hygiene improvement per account.
6 months: You're proposing new automation opportunities, surfacing strategic recommendations, and are recognized as the email authority across your client portfolio.
