Position Summary
The Data Entry Representative is responsible for performing all tasks required for data entry processing under the direction of the Centralized Services Supervisor. This position is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient referral information in our various systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Representative at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with the following essential duties:
- Patient Referral Data Entry: Enter, update, and verify patient referral data into various systems for use by all personnel, ensuring complete accuracy and attention to detail in every entry.
- Data Quality Assurance: Review and verify data entered into the database to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all records.
- Fax Processing: Process all faxes in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that critical information is properly documented and routed to the appropriate departments.
- Medical Documentation Verification: Confirm that medical scripts and referral documentation have the correct procedures listed, flagging any discrepancies for review.
- Effective Communication: Communicate professionally and effectively with center employees when additional information is needed to process requests, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues across the organization.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by supervision to support team goals and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions and Work Environment
This is largely a sedentary role that requires the ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in customer service and/or data entry; healthcare industry experience is preferred.
- Proven speed and accuracy with data entry, with a minimum requirement of 9,000+ keystrokes per hour (KSPH).
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.

- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
