Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Data Analytics Manager to serve as the analytical partner for cross-functional teams within our Music Division. This pivotal role requires a curious mind with a knack for numbers, someone who can bridge the gap between raw data and strategic storytelling.
In this position, you will develop a profound understanding of consumer behaviors across music marketing, discovery channels, and streaming platforms. You'll translate business questions into rigorous analytical frameworks, driving results through investigation of large transaction-level datasets. Your ability to communicate complex findings clearly—to audiences ranging from technical engineers to executive leadership—will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analytics Manager at arenaflex, you will:
- Lead data-informed approaches to complex business challenges through comprehensive data creation, analysis, and statistical modeling. Develop new features incorporating data from internal and external sources, applying segmentation, regression, and classification models to extract meaningful insights.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and new business opportunities by creating analytical models and frameworks that assess potential, identify performance drivers, and measure the impact of environmental factors.
- Support data-driven business processes by applying data mining, quantitative analysis, and visualization techniques to surface and elevate key themes, addressing business questions across varied business areas.
- Extract and prepare data for analysis. Secure, organize, cleanse, and manipulate complex, large-scale data from diverse sources using tools such as PySpark and advanced SQL to interact effectively with data repositories.
- Apply supervised or unsupervised learning techniques—including linear and logistic regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering—to derive, validate, and measure conclusions from data.
- Serve as a trusted partner for cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities and understand performance, diving deep into data to drive meaningful and actionable insights.
- Contribute to organizational needs through ongoing reporting and analysis to inform business, product, marketing, and sales decisions.
- Lead content performance and audience analysis for product releases. Develop and track key metrics to measure success.
- Perform statistical analysis including KPI deep dives, behavioral segmentation, and customer journey analysis. Build analytical pipelines for automated, scalable, repeatable, and integrated analysis using modern big data architectures in data ecosystems such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Google Big Query.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to execute data initiatives.
- Contribute to pipeline discovery, design, build, and QA processes. Work alongside data teams on data models, database architecture/tables, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and validation criteria.
- Lead and mentor a team member, establishing boundaries to maximize impact within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of data analysis experience in a professional setting
- Minimum 3 years of management or team leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative discipline
- Experience developing statistical models and analyses in an industry setting for business applications. Applied knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
- Expertise handling large, transaction-level datasets and interpreting data trends from multiple disparate data sources
- Strong hands-on experience developing sophisticated analytical solutions using scripting languages (Python/R)
- Proficiency in advanced SQL, large-scale data, and distributed computing languages (PySpark)
- Experience with data mining in distributed systems (Spark/Databricks)
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau/Looker)
- Experience developing analytical code that scales investigations
- Experience working with media performance data
- Experience working with data in the media or entertainment industry
- Strong experience documenting data requirements, rules, and assumptions
- Experience communicating analytical concepts to diverse audiences
- Passion for building clear, concise, and meaningful metrics
- Proven track record of using data to deliver business value and presenting data-driven insights to business audiences
- Experience influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization
- Strong time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities

- History of working independently, demonstrating creativity, and delivering results
- Genuine fascination with music and the music industry
- Strong experience with music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice)
