What You'll Do
As a Customer Support Representative for our leading tax preparation software client, you'll play a critical role in helping taxpayers navigate their financial responsibilities with confidence. Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Channel Customer Support: Assist customers through various support channels including phone support with video chat capability, traditional live chat, and potentially email support. You'll be the frontline of assistance for customers seeking help with their tax preparation software.
- Software Navigation Assistance: Guide customers through the tax preparation software, helping them understand features, navigate the interface, and complete their tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Prior Return Retrieval: Help customers locate and access their prior year returns and amendments, ensuring they have the necessary documentation for their current year's filing.

Compensation and Earnings Potential
We believe in rewarding our contractors fairly for their hard work and dedication. Here's what you can expect:
- Base Rate: Earn up to $19 per hour, plus incentives and performance bonuses.
- Peak Season Bonuses: During the critical tax season (January through April), additional hourly premiums apply:
- April 8-11: $3/hour additional for over 12 productive hours, $4/hour for over 16 hours, $5/hour for over 20 hours
- April 12-14: $5/hour additional for over 20 productive hours
- April 15 (Tax Day): $10/hour additional for over 5 productive hours
- Average Earnings: Contractors who meet or exceed key metrics typically earn $16-$19/hour during peak times and $15.60-$17.50/hour during non-peak periods.
- Guaranteed Minimum: Contractors are guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes of pay for each hour they're available for the full 60 minutes.
Schedule Details
- Contract Duration: This seasonal contract begins in January and runs through April 15th, providing approximately 3.5 months of employment.
- Hours of Operation: Available hours can be scheduled between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM CST, Monday through Sunday.
- Flexibility: Choose between weekday, weekend, or mixed schedules based on your availability and preferences.
- Advance Scheduling: Plan your schedule in advance with the ability to adjust as needed.

Technology Requirements
To perform your job effectively, you'll need the following technical setup:
- Computer: Personal computer (tablet not supported) running Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.
- Internet Connection: Broadband internet connection with a minimum recommended speed of 10 MBPS. Must be a wired connection – Wi-Fi or mobile internet is not acceptable due to reliability and security requirements.
- Security: Valid antivirus software installed, running, and kept up to date.
- Equipment: USB headset with microphone for clear audio communication.
- Webcam: A webcam will be provided (loaned) to each contractor for the duration of the contract.
- Mac Users: Mac acceptance is limited to Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple's Boot Camp utility. Mac computers running macOS only are not supported.
Important Information
- Geographic Restrictions: Unfortunately, we are currently unable to work with contractors residing in California, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington.
- Background Check: All contractors must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to starting.
- Independent Contractor Status: This position is a contractual opportunity. The relationship between you and arenaflex is that of independent contractor, not employment. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and do not receive traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, vacation pay, or retirement benefits through arenaflex.
