This role offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful. You'll be supporting patients who depend on life-sustaining specialty drug therapies—medications that treat complex conditions such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, rare diseases, and other serious health challenges. Your work will directly impact patients' ability to access the treatments they need, when they need them.

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll serve as a vital link between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and our pharmacy team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Support Excellence: Provide compassionate telephone support to patients receiving specialty medication therapy, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and valued throughout their healthcare journey.

  • Order Processing & Management: Handle the complete coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and prescription refills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Benefits Verification: Verify and revivify insurance benefits to ensure patients can access their medications with minimal financial burden and maximum coverage.

  • Prescription Entry: Accurately translate and enter new prescriptions and refill requests into our pharmacy information system, maintaining data integrity at all times.

  • Financial Coordination: Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients, explaining their financial responsibilities with clarity and empathy.

  • Authorization Management: Obtain necessary authorizations from healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate timely medication access.

  • Insurance Liaison: Work directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex billing and clinical issues.

  • Issue Resolution: Screen, identify, and resolve accounts receivable issues, clinical concerns, and other barriers to medication fulfillment.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all financial and clinical expectations are met before any medication is dispensed, maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all patient interactions, decisions, and follow-up actions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
