Customer Assistance and Consultation
- Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries, providing accurate information about products, pricing, and promotions

Sales Transaction Management
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing all forms of payment including cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments
- Maintain precise cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and proper change distribution
- Balance registers at the beginning and end of each shift, documenting any discrepancies immediately
- Implement loss prevention strategies, including monitoring for shoplifting and ensuring security tag compliance
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies, maintaining customer satisfaction while protecting company assets
Store Operations and Merchandising
- Maintain optimal stock levels on shelves, ensuring products are readily available for customers throughout the day
- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy of orders and inspecting for damage
- Assist with unloading trucks and organizing stockroom inventory in accordance with productivity standards
- Execute recovery procedures to ensure the store maintains a clean, organized, and inviting appearance at all times
- Rotate merchandise and ensure proper product placement following planogram guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management promptly
Store Cleanliness and Maintenance
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the entire store, including sales floor, stockroom, and customer service areas
- Clean and restock restrooms regularly, ensuring they meet health and hygiene standards
- Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning as needed
- Remove trash and recyclables throughout the shift, maintaining clean entrance areas and parking lot surroundings
- Ensure all displays and fixtures are clean, undamaged, and properly positioned
- Maintain a safe environment by promptly addressing spills, hazards, or maintenance issues
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with fellow associates to ensure seamless store operations and exceptional customer service
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding inventory, customer feedback, and operational needs
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and company initiatives
- Support fellow team members during peak periods or high-volume situations

What We're Looking For: Your Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and interpret operational documents, including company policies and procedures
- Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including:
- Lifting merchandise weighing between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving throughout the store for extended periods
- Stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing as needed to access merchandise and perform duties
- Pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive lifting motions throughout shift
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Highly Preferred Experience
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced customer-facing roles
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous experience with merchandise receiving, stocking, and inventory management
