Associate, Actuary

Fidelity Investments is a leading financial services company, and they are seeking an Associate Actuary to join their Workplace Consulting Group. The role involves providing advice to clients regarding their benefit programs, particularly in defined benefit plans, while developing financial and consultative skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on annual pension actuarial valuations to determine cash and accounting requirements
• Support merger and acquisition transactions as they impact corporate benefit programs
• Help clients efficiently lead their employee benefits programs from a financial, compliance, and communications perspective
• Develop custom micro sites for a wide range of corporate compensation and benefits needs

Skills

• Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative subject major strongly preferred
• Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam toward earning an A.S.A. credential
• Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and willingness to be innovative
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills
• A high aptitude to learn new things quickly and adapt to new situations
• Desire for a fast paced and collaborative work environment
