The Role: AI Software Engineer

What You'll Do

As an AI Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, defining, and solving business challenges through artificial intelligence. Your responsibilities will include:

• Problem Identification: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and partner departments to identify and define business problems that are suitable for AI-driven solutions. You'll serve as the bridge between technical capabilities and business needs.


• Strategic Development: Actively participate in developing the strategy surrounding which frameworks, technologies, and infrastructure our team should utilize for our proof-of-concepts and pilots for AI solutions. You'll help shape the technical direction of our innovation efforts.


• Proof of Concept Development: Build verification of concepts and prototypes that can be used to demonstrate the impact of artificial intelligence across Delta's various specialty units. You'll transform theoretical ideas into tangible demonstrations.


• Reusable Solutions: Construct a suite of reusable models and solutions that enable rapid prototyping and accelerate the deployment of AI capabilities throughout the organization.


• AI Democratization: Foster an AI-first mindset and help democratize artificial intelligence for arenaflex, ensuring that teams across the organization can leverage these powerful technologies to improve their work.


• Innovation Leadership: Contribute to both unit-specific initiatives and organization-wide innovation programs, including democratizing innovation throughout arenaflex and exploring the effects of disruptive trends in our industry.

Our office is conveniently located near arenaflex HQ in Midtown Atlanta, placing us at the heart of the Atlanta tech scene while maintaining easy access to our headquarters for collaboration with colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• 3-4 years of work or educational experience in AI and Artificial Intelligence


• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language including Java, C/C++, Python, or R


• Strong experience with Python for programming development and knowledge of complex methodologies and nuances of programming development in Python


• Experience with at least one of the following: Natural Language Processing, sentiment analysis, classification, or pattern recognition


• Development experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, Microsoft CNTK, scikit-learn, Keras, Caffe, Gluon, LightGBM, SageMaker, or Azure AI


• Experience with basic Web UI and API development


• Experience and familiarity presenting to technical audiences


• Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking, and styles


• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data


• A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency


• At least 18 years of age and authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would strengthen your application:

• Side projects you've worked on in the past couple of years in the AI/ML space


• Relevant experience in the travel, aviation, or airline industry


• Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields


• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed computing


• Knowledge of aircraft operations and logistics
